Season 2: Ending Recap

Season 2 concludes with our heroes facing the demon brothers. Their incredible coordination and unpredictability make them an insurmountable opponent. The demon slayers win without major injuries or consequences.

However, this victory is not a normal one. Daki, an Upper Moon Demon, had a direct connection to Muzan Kibutsuji (the main antagonist of Demon Slayer). There could be serious consequences that will unfold in the third season of the series.

What Is The Plot Of The Third Season?

The third season’s story will focus on the ninth arc of Swordsmith Village, the original manga’s Swordsmith Village. Season 3 will be set immediately after the battle between Daki, Upper Moon 6 Gyutaro, and the Demon Slayer Corps.

The next anime season will be based on chapters 100-127 of the manga by Koyoharu. The Demon Slayer season 2 Entertainment District arc is followed immediately by the Swordsmith Village manga arc.

How Does The Story Unfold?

For the first time in more than a century, the upper ranks of the Twelve Kizuki are empty. Muzan sends away the survivors on a new mission out of anger. Tanjiro, who is in another place, travels to an unknown village full of swordsmiths.

He must explain to Haganezuka, the swordsmith, how his sword got damaged. If you are wondering when the release date of Season 3 of the anime series will be, then you must know that it will be released in April, 2023.

As Tanjiro waits to have his sword fixed, enemies get to know his location and soon approach him. Without their Nichirin blades, the only reliable way to defeat the demons, demon slayers can’t get them. Some demons find the village’s location and launch an attack, even though Tanjiro is not there.

The demons consist of Gyokko and Hantengu, two Upper Moons. Mist Hashira and Muichiro Tokito support Tanjiro. Meanwhile, these demons are still on the way to destroy the village. So it’s possible that they won’t be defeated.

Additionally, one demon can instantly heal itself by duplicating. The demon slayers are, therefore, not only outnumbered but also outpowered.

How Many Episodes Will There Be In Season 3?

Demon Slayer Season 3 will cover all 25 chapters in the Demon Slayer manga’s Swordsmith Village story arc. The anime adaptation will have 11-12 episodes, much like the Entertainment District Arc (also called season 2), which has 11.
